In a short voice call, your friend asks you a question. The best answer is the word you saved, so you have to say it.
Then the word comes back later, just before you would forget it. If you get it wrong, it comes back sooner.

Common questions
- What is IntroBird?
- IntroBird takes the Korean you see in real life and makes you use it.
- How do I get words into the app?
- Two ways from outside the app: photograph a menu or a sign and tap the Korean words, or search a song and tap words in the lyrics. Inside the app you can tap any word in a story or a chat.
- When does a word count as learned?
- When you have used it yourself, in your own sentence, more than once — by saying it or by typing it. Reading it again does not count, and neither does your AI friend saying it.
- Does it understand Korean verb endings?
- Yes. 가다, 갔어요, 갈까요 and 간다 count as one word, not four.
- Is IntroBird for complete beginners?
- Not on day one. IntroBird works best once you can read Hangul. You can tap any word to see what it means, and a translator friend can explain anything you do not understand.
- Do I have to speak out loud?
- Not at first. You can keep to reading and texting only. When you do make a call, you hold a button to speak, and the microphone is off unless you are holding it down.
- What if a story is too hard?
- Six difficulty levels. You can tap any word to see its meaning, listen to the audio, and turn the grammar highlighting on or off.
- Can I choose what the stories are about?
- Yes. Type in a topic, or press the surprise-me button. If the app cannot write a new story it gives you a ready-made one, and tells you so.
- What happens after a call?
- You get a review of the call, and the sentences you got wrong become short practice questions. One wrong sentence, one question.
- Do my AI friends remember me?
- Inside one conversation, yes — they remember what you have been talking about. They do not keep a record of you month after month.
- My school uses IntroBird. What changes?
- This week's class words and grammar appear in a separate folder, and your stories, chats and calls are built from them. Words you save yourself stay in your own list. Everything stays with you when the term ends.
- We teach Korean. Can we use IntroBird with our students?
- Yes — as a pilot, set up by hand. Send the chapter lists you already teach from once; each becomes that week's word list. There is no teacher dashboard and no teacher login yet, and we are setting up our first schools now. Email us.
- Is IntroBird free?
- Yes. Saving words and texting AI friends are unlimited. New stories and calls are limited — two stories and one call a week. Ads appear only after you finish a story. Pro removes the ads and the waiting, about 22 cents a day.
- Does it help with TOPIK?
- A little, but not directly. IntroBird labels words and grammar by TOPIK level, but there are no practice tests and no old exam questions. It is not an exam-prep app.
- Will IntroBird support other languages?
- Only Korean. The word matching was built by hand for Hangul. Other languages are possible later, but we are not promising them.
